Blushing Hearts

Blusher has always been something that I've admired on other people but I've always been way too afraid to venture into the blusher zone myself...
Because is it just me or is it hard to know that thin line between 'oh you look so fresh' & the dreaded 'why are your cheeks so red?' blusher application mark?
Believe me it's not a good look when you over apply your blusher, which is something I've done many times.

So I guess I've never been a big fan of blusher before.
That is until now...

About a month ago now I strolled into my local Superdrug store on the hunt for yet another beauty product to add to my already rather vast collection.

When I spotted this...
Isn't it lovely?

For starters the package is beautiful!
I absolutely adore the fact that this is heart shaped- it just looks so pretty sat with all my other makeup bits & bobs.

Not only that but I feel this 'I Heart Makeup' blusher seriously resembles the 'Too Faced Sweetheart Blusher' at a fraction of the price.
I haven't tried the 'Too Faced' one so I can't say that this product is just as good as that because I honestly don't know. But if your wanting to try the 'Too Faced' blusher but perhaps it's a little out of your price range then I definitely think 'I Heart Makeup' blusher is worth trying instead as it's only £4.99.

I didn't know what to expect with this because I haven't ever tried anything from the 'I Heart Makeup' range before but I thought I'd give it a try because it was such a good price.

I choose this triple baked blusher in the colour 'Candy Queen of Hearts'

When I first applied this I didn't put much product onto my blusher brush because I'd rather build up the product gradually than just diving straight in. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised by this blusher,  it is a gorgeous peachy, pink colour with an ever so slight sheen to it.
When apply I tend to swirl my brush in all three shades in the pot but you could just use one of the shades if you preferred at one time.

The product feels very light and soft on my skin with just the right amount of pigment in my opinion because I don't like my blushers too full on .
I felt the product lasted as long as I needed it too, but you could always carry the pot around with you as it's a good handbag size for when you want to reapply your makeup up half way through the day.

I am completely over the moon with this blusher and I couldn't recommend it enough if I tried, I can't wait to go back to Superdrug to try other products in the 'I Heart Makeup' range.

I hope you liked this post.
I'd love to hear if you've tried any products in the 'I Heart' range in the comments below.

I'm hoping to blog again on Saturday before the very exciting Blogger Tiki Party on Sunday.
Can you believe it's finally here?

I'll be doing lots of posts about the Tiki Party over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye on my blog for that too.

I hope you are all having a lovely Wednesday & I'll see you all very soon.

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment, isn't it gorgeous? So true a dab of highlighter, brush of bronzer and a dash of blusher make the perfect fresh faced look. :-)
