The American Dream

I'm finally back blogging after a rather hectic week since I got back from America.
If you guys follow me on Instagram (cheeky plug- @gemma_roseharp) then you will already know that I've just spent two weeks loving life in Disneyland Florida.
And I'm now very sad to be sat writing this back in damp, rainy England.

Still I had an AMAZING time in Florida and I think it will be very hard to ever top this holiday.
This wasn't the first time I've been to Florida as I went 9 years ago but it was the first proper holiday I've had since starting my blog. So naturally I went a bit photo obsessed!

I want to do a couple of posts over the next week or so about my 'American Adventure', so I was thinking of doing more of a general post today. Then I'll do 'Where to go' & 'Haul' posts later on, because I brought a LOT, to the point that I had to sit on my suitcase just to shut it.
But more on that another time...

This post is going to be full to the brim with lots of photographs because I think they can tell you more about the fabulous world of Disney than just me talking about it.

Besides who wouldn't want to look at pretty photos?
So grab a cuppa & enjoy flick through my American Adventure...

Sorry for the extremely long post...
I just had so many photos that I wanted to share because each and every one of them in this post held a special memory.

As always I hope you enjoyed this post & let me know what you thought of it in the comments below.

I'll be back on Sunday with my 'Where to go in Florida' post so check back then for that.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I'll see you all very soon.

New Look sale & Hidden gems

New Look for me is one of my favourite shops.
I think I struggle to come out of that shop without buying anything so it's no surprise I found these hidden gems in their recent Summer sale.

I don't usually buy many accessories in sales, I don't know why?
Normally I dive straight into the clothes section and that's me gone for hours.
But this time I thought why not have a lil look...

This purse/ makeup bag really caught my eye, I loved the "Take me Anywhere" lettering on the front because I'm a lover of travelling. So the thought of going anyway in the world is absolute bliss.

Isn't it just so cute?

Currently I don't really know what I'll use it for, I'm going on holiday soon so I might use it to carry a bit of makeup with me on the flight. It's a really good A5 like size and I think it was only £3.
Total bargain!

I don't own that many bracelets because I tend to stick to wearing the same three I've had for years.
This bracelet is so pretty!
I love the colours of the stones in each section and I think it's one of those bracelets that would go with anything in your wardrobe.
I like unusual things & this bracelet is perfectly unique.
Again I think it was something like £2 in the sale.

This shopping trip taught me that shopping in the accessorises section is a good thing & you can find some really hidden gems if you look hard enough.
I will definitely be checking this section out again in the future, not that I need yet another reason to go shopping.

What's your favourite sale purchase?

Thank you for reading!
I hope you enjoyed this post & I'll see you all very soon.

Benefit Gimme Brow & a 10 out of 10

Benefit Gimme Brow has had a lot of hype recently, bloggers everywhere have been going crazy about this new product & I can see why...

Firstly can we just take a moment to appreciate just how pretty the Gimme Brow product is?
I'm not going to lie I don't usually buy Benefit products, it's not because I don't like them but sometimes it's just a little out of my price range.
That & the fact I already own way more makeup than I know what to do with.

I have been wanting to test it out ever since it first popped up on my Twitter feed.
So when I got this little sample of Gimme Brow in my Glamour magazine, I was a very happy girl indeed.

I have mousy brown hair colour so I went for the lighter shade Gimme Brow in the shade number 1 because it didn't look too light on the box & it thought I could always add other products to my brows to make them darker. if necessary.
(I didn't actually add any more products to my brows as this was perfect on it's own)

Applying Gimme Brow felt like a dream, usually I use a brow pencil so when I saw this product had a mascara like brush for application I was a little worried.
Yet I didn't need to be worried at all...
If anything I would say the brush application is easier and creates a really natural finish which is what we all want, isn't it?

This product does exactly what it says on the box, it creates fuller looking brows that really enhance your entire makeup look.
My brows felt like they hadn't got anything on them at all and it lasted all day!
Bonus or what?

Overall I loved the consistency of this product, it felt light but equally had high coverage to add volume to my brows.
If I was scoring this product out of 10, I would give it 10 without doubt.
The only thing I may do different next time is buying Gimme Brow in number 2 as I think that is gonna be the perfect colour match for me.

I said earlier on in this post that I'd never tried or bought a Benefit product before but I think that's about to change.
As soon as this sample size Gimme Brow is finished, I'm gonna buy the full sized version, because my brows have never felt so good!

What are your thoughts on Gimme Brow?

I hope you all enjoyed this post & I'll see you all very soon.

Little Bit Lavish & Lots of Treats

Subscription boxes aren't something that I thought would interest me because I'm one of those people who enjoys popping along to my local Boots or Superdrug to peruse the latest products on the market.
So the thought of products being chosen for me didn't ever appeal until I came across 'Little Bit Lavish' at the Blogger Tiki Party.

This subscription box is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen...
I know you shouldn't judge a box by it's cover but I'll have to admit when it comes to beauty products  if it doesn't have nice package then I tend to walk on by.
Yet this 'Little Bit Lavish' box definitely doesn't disappoint, I love the outside of the box just as much as the inside!

Look how pretty it is,
I love the colours baby blue and purple together as for me they make me feel instantly calm & relaxed.

Little Bit Lavish is a new subscription box service coming to the UK, each month you will receive 5-8 products for that bit of "me time". All for £20 which I think is a very good price point.
I like how a subscription box introduces new brands that you probably wouldn't have looked at on their own, I am very bad at going for big, well known brands over smaller ones yet the bigger the brand isn't always the better the product.

The second I unwrapped this box, this Skintonic Lip Balm stood out to me.
I'm forever applying lip balm to help prevent dry lips so a product that helps that is always a winner for me. It smells great and it has a rough texture when applying to help soften & nourish.
Even better it uses all organic products for only £3.
This little treasure will be going on holiday with me because I love it that much!

I spend a good 90% of the year looking pale so this Evolve Organic Beauty Satin Leg Gloss is the perfect product for me, again it smells delicious and it adds just a touch of shimmer to you legs to helps give you that healthy, summer glow.
This product is normal retailed at £9

I love a good bath!
I normal go to Lush for any of my bath bombs needs because I haven't really seen any others that I like.
This Miss Patisserie bath bomb is so pretty, I love the colours of it and the smell of it really reminds me of a spa break I had a year ago.
I haven't had chance to try this product yet but I can't wait to turn my bath into a pretty rainbow.
This product is retailed normally for £3.25 which I think is a standard price for bath bombs.

For some reason it took me a while to work out what exactly this product was, I don't know why on earth I didn't just read the word 'perfume' on the lid.
Solid perfume is something I have always loved, I think it's great for travelling abroad because it won't leak. So for me solid perfume is a holiday staple, saying that I have never found a solid perfume that I really love.
This smells INCREDIBLE!
It's quite a subtle and gentle smell, and just I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of but whatever it is it holds happy memories for me.
The name 'Wish' is adorable & I honestly couldn't have 'wished' for a better solid perfume.
This retails at £12 and I would happily pay that.

Little Bit Lavish has completely changed my mind about subscriptions boxes & I'm very excited to see more of 'Little Bit Lavish' in the future.
